So it's on white vinyl, it comes with a digital download, Nate Powell did the beautiful art. If you don't pick up a copy you are missing out, man.

April 14, 2009, 10:20 pm by Megan
I'm totally considering a Don't Stop Believin' Records calendar, you guys. 12 sexy months of glossy glamour shots.
April 14, 2009, 10:15 pm by Megan
Okay, I fixed the pictures in the update below so they aren't messing up the margins of the page anymore. Also, once again I am struck by what a sausage-fest this record label is.
April 13, 2009, 5:24 pm by Megan
Seattle's Only Newspaper-
The Stranger has a
Sex Survey they would like you to take. One of the questions on this survey is "Which Seattle Musician Would You Most Like To Bang?" They helpfully provide some suggestions, including DSBR's own Team Gina and 3/4 of Tacocat (aka the women in Tacocat). This is all very well and good for those of us who prefer the ladies, but perhaps dudes are more your speed? But you would also like to vote for a DSBR artist to bang? Well, you're in luck because there is a write-in option! And please allow me to suggest for you some of the Seattle-based hunks of Don't Stop Believin' Records.
The other 1/4 of Tacocat!

He's 6'5" and wears size 15 shoes! Look at that head of hair!
Clyde from Your Heart Breaks!

He writes love songs and his shaggy hair is often in his eyes!
Dashel Schueler!

He's all bearded and politically active!
The Terrordactyls!

They're animal lovers with great abs!
5/6 of See Me River!

They need new promo pictures so that you can see everyone in the band!
Strong Killings!

Not to repeat myself- but look at those heads of hair!
So, this took way longer to write than I thought it would and the pictures are fucking up the tour dates. Anyway, sex survey, hot dudes, etc.
March 24, 2009, 12:35 am by Megan
So, The Pharmacy did a Europe-only split 7" with Japanther and I bought some copies from Bachelor Records so now YOU should buy some copies from the catalog page.
March 24, 2009, 12:20 am by Megan
Here's an update that doesn't matter, but people do ask me about it sometimes-- Scottie and I did finish watching all of the X-Files. Watching that last season is like doing chores, man. But the last episode is the big pay-off for sure.
March 21, 2009, 3:35 pm by Megan
Oh man! Check out the See Me River video for
Don't Pray For Blood that Brendhan Bowers (drummer from The Pharmacy, remember?) made. We went over to Vashon and shot it in July and August. It's beautiful.
March 21, 2009, 2:40 pm by Megan
Wow guys, I've got a lot of updates. I'm just gonna do them in the order that I remember... First, new record!
See Me River have new 5 song record out that is a split release with
Aviation Records. We already did the full length
Time Machine together and just out a couple weeks ago is the brand new 12"
The Great Unwashed. Because that's what I'm into everybody- vinyl. Don't worry, it comes with a cd of the record so you can put it on your ipod. Check the catalog!
June 1, 2008, 6:40 pm by Megan
Tacocat album release show on Thursday! It's at
Fusion Cafe (in the better, less huge-empty-cave-of-echoing-sound room that's to the left) which means it's all ages!
April 30, 2008, 1:12 pm by Megan
Lots of news:
1)Tomorrow the your heart breaks/Paul Baribeau 7" will arrive on my doorstep!
Nate Powell did all the art for the record and the 2 postcards that are included in the sweet, sweet package. Go to the catalog page and order it.
2)I got the tacocat test pressings- it sounds awesome on vinyl, man.
3)Team Gina are in the studio recording their new record with
Radio Sloan (Radio Sloan, son. I know, right?). It's almost done!
4)New band!
See Me River- their album
Time Machine will be a split release between don't stop believin' and
Aviation Records. Check 'em out!
5)The Pharmacy came back for 12 days, now they're gone again. On the morning they left Kyle Johnson took their pictures-
here they are. Does the picture of Stefan and his grandma warm your heart, too?
Scottie and I made it most of the way through season 5 of
X-Files. We're getting closer. --Megan
April 1, 2008, 10:18 pm by Megan
Yesterday I made
tacocat get their pictures taken in the pouring rain and intermittent hail. But don't feel bad for them because I bought them dried fruit and pizza. Check out the pictures
here! Kyle Johnson took them, they look awesome.
Today I went to Snohomish and got the brand new
Paul Baribeau song
The Rolling Clouds mastered. It's going on the Your Heart Breaks/Paul Baribeau split 7" that's going in the mail to the plant tomorrow morning! --Megan

March 3, 2008, 2:10 pm by Megan
Oh man, a lot of stuff has happened since the last time I updated the news... First, Scotty and I did not manage to watch every season of X-Files before he left on tour. In fact, we only made it about 5 episodes into season 3. Turns out we have a lot more to do with our lives than we thought.
Wow, why did I put that as the first update? I mean, the beautiful new Pharmacy album is out, available on LP, CD, Itunes (check the catalog page!) and even cassette tape (from
Highfives and Handshakes. Seriously guys, it's beautiful in looks and content. The release shows this weekend were great- Check out some great pictures from the Friday show
here! They're on tour with pleasureboaters right now! Check out the dates to the right and go see both of them on tour!
And there was a pretty awesome article in the Stranger about me that you can see
here. I'm an idiot for naming my record label the way I did. --Megan
February 19, 2008, 1:16 am by Megan
The Pharmacy are about to leave on their west coast tour and when they get to San Francisco (Thursday) they're going to pick up their records!
Also, I just got some awesome posters printed for The Pharmacy, pleasureboaters and the Pharmacy/Japanther tour coming up in May.
Today I did an interview for a feature about the label in next weeks Stranger, during which I announced I could listen to American Beauty 100 times in a row. I bet that's the part that ends up larger and in bold.
Lastly, Scottie and I are attempting to watch all 9 seasons of the x-Files before he leaves on tour for a month. My earlier calculations determined we would need to watch approximately 11 hours a day. We're really behind. --Megan

UPDATE: Those were reduced fat Ritz crackers. Did you notice? They don't taste as delicious. And your ex-boyfriend bought me a whole new box. Shut it down, Bree. I can't find the new box, however. -Lelah
January 28, 2008, 11:50 pm by Megan
UPDATE: Bree Mckenna of Tacocat ate all of drummer Lelah Maupin's Ritz crackers while Maupin and Emily Nokes (singer of Tacocat) are on a visit to Longview, WA.Earlier in the evening, Megan Birdsall informs Mckenna that paper mache doesn't stick to tin foil. Mckenna had a difficult attempt at constructing coyote masks the night prior, a task that had been previously completed by one Megan Birdsall with minimal difficulty. Unfortunately, said masks were lost in Georgetown.UPDATE 2: Megan Birdsall's moon sign is also a Libra, making her a Libra-Libra. Tonight, the moon is actually in Libra, making it possible for Megan to shoot laser beams out of her eyes.
DSB Libra's:

Let's talk some more about how great this website looks now, shall we? Aaron (he plays guitar in Yes, Oh Yes) is a goddamn genius and totally awesome for building this whole thing. We were up until 7am this morning and then he had to go get on a fucking airplane to fly halfway across the country. In honor of this awesome site from now on the news stuff is going to get updated way more, and not just by me ("me" being Megan, who runs this stupid record label) but hopefully by Aaron, Scottie (from the pharmacy), Lelah (tacocat's drummer and also my totally great, totally legitimate and getting-school-credit-for-it intern),and Bree (tacocat's bassist and also my totally-illegitmate and not-really-at-all, but squawks-when-I-say-she-isn't "intern"). --Megan (yeah, if more than one person is going to do this now we're going to have to sign our names)
January 23, 2008, 5:00 am by Megan
New website! Look at this! It's great, right?Sooooo, the pharmacy's new record is at the plant right now. Check out a couple of tracks from it on the brand new MEDIA PLAYER (!!!) in the bottom left corner of your screen (I know, right? Dude, the
Yes, Oh Yes 7" looks sooo good!
It's one of those sleeves that folds so on the inside it's got all the song lyrics and a little woodgrain all hand drawn! I think I need to add pages for all my releases so you can see the art and get a full track listing. Good idea. Anyway, the Bellingham release show was sweet and this Friday Seattle gets their chance to see Yes, Oh Yes and pick up the new 7" at The Dog Park as part of Carousel Festival. And then the guys head off on tour with membership. Check out the tour schedules and see if they're coming to your town. Lucky, lucky you!
August 9, 2007, 12:00 am by Megan
Two-- no, wait- THREE 7" release shows for Yes, Oh Yes! First, 2 chances to catch them in Bellingham on August 18th- at 4pm at Everyday Music and then at 8pm at The Old Foundry with Shorthand for Epic and The Love Lights. On August 24th see them and membership on the first stop on their tour at The Dog Park as part of Carousel Festival!

I myself will be walking back and forth between the 2 shows all night.

So, looks like the comp cd (which is called Ponies in a Stable, which is really only funny to me) should be done by the end of the month! Just in time for Your Heart Breaks to head to Europe and The Pharmacy's 2.5 month tour.

May 22, 2006, 12:00 am by Megan
I just wanted to tell everyone about when I went to pay The Pharmacy's car insurance (since they couldn't find a washington mutual in whatever state they were in)... so I'm standing there giving money to the agent and some woman also in the waiting room leans over and says "Excuse me, sir, but you really need to pull up your pants." I mean, I probably DID need to pull up my pants, but what business is it of hers? I'm a 25 year old woman... I'm gonna wear my pants however I want. Ya heard? oh, yeah and the Pharmacy will be home in a matter of hours.
May 6, 2006, 12:00 am by Megan
Wow, I never update this page. But I'm totally going to start updating all the time for the 3 people who look at this website (Hey guys, thanks for stopping by...). let's see, the pharmacy is nearing the end of their y2k6 spring break tour, the van broke down twice, but they're still having fun. Come see Dashel on Vashon on the 14th, he may even have t-shirts by then. And in ultra exciting news, looks like dsbr-004 is going to be a cd from
Your Heart Breaks! Totally awesome! It will probably be out sometime in the fall... meanwhile check out their website and buy their other albums and go see 'em at
Plan-It-X fest, where every pony from the Don't Stop Believin' Records stable can be seen this July! Exciting!
February 15, 2006, 12:00 am by Megan

*Easy Street Records (all locations)
*Sonic Boom Records (all locations)
*Jive Time Records
*Tower Records (all locations)
*Silver Platters (all locations)

Also, we are about to start silkscreening the 7" sleeves.
January 15, 2006, 12:00 am by Megan
The 'Patience' mp3 on Dashel's page finally works. The quality isn't stellar, but you should be buying the album with money, not listening to it for free. Haven't you heard that downloadable music is killing the music industry? Just ask Metallica... Lars will tell you all about it.
January 13, 2006, 12:00 am by Megan
First off- Hooray! 'B.F.F.' is #27 on the Three Imaginary Girls top NW albums of 2005! And in other ultra-exciting news, both The Pharmacy and Dashel are playing at Plan-It-X fest this summer! Check out

Today I'm going to mail off the stuff for Dashel's album and the 2nd press of The Pharmacy 'B.F.F.' (all new artwork for the new press!!) I bought $3.85 stamps so I don't even need to set foot in the post office. Ah, this modern age.
